Stevioside

1. Description

Stevioside, a natural sweetener extracted from stevia leaves, is also be named as stevia sugar. Stevioside features high sweetness and low calorie. Its sweetness is 200-350 times of that of cane sugar, while its calorie is only 1/300 of that of cane sugar. It has been proved after large number of pharmaceutical tests that stevioside has no side effects, carcinogens. Constant administration of stevioside can prevent such illnesses like hypertension, diabetes, obesity, heart disease and carious teeth.
